Blanket Buddy striped version
This is a basic lovey pattern for making Blanket Buddies! Use this pattern to make the blanket part, then make the owl Buddy or use any pattern for the Buddy in the middle.
This pattern is worked in dc to make a solid blanket. You can choose to alternate colors every row or every two rows…and so on. It’s up to you! It works up to a nice lap-blanket size, perfect for dragging behind a toddler on all their adventures or to be squished up and snuggled with at bedtime. And it can be increased or decreased depending on what size you need… Just add or subtract rows!
And I’ve included the instructions to make the owl Buddy. You can add him, or use one of my other Buddy patterns…the possibilities are endless! I’ve included pictures of other Buddies so you can see some other options. And there is an Optional Ruffle pattern in there, too, in case you need a little Frill in your life!

You have my permission to sell any blanket you make from this pattern (of course you can, it’s your blanket!). I’d love a link back to this pattern if you sell online. But PLEASE do not sell, distribute, or rewrite-and-call-your-own this pattern or any part of it to anyone at any time (of course you won’t, because it’s mine). I spend a bunch of time making up and testing my patterns and getting them ready to share…please respect this so I can keep on doing it! Thanks!
