Blanket Button Shawl
Pattern Description:
When a jacket is just too much! Snuggle up with the cozy Blanket Button Shawl adding function and style to your outfit! Wear this classic piece in a number of ways, varying the look by the button that’s used or even wear as a cushy scarf. The one-row mistake-stitch rib is effortless to knit and the dreamy Baby Alpaca Grande makes every row a delight.
Materials:
• 6 Hanks ImagiKnit Baby Alpaca Grande: 100% Baby Alpaca w/110 yards/100 grams
o Color: Silver #03
or
• 6 Hanks Plymouth Baby Alpaca Grande: 100% Baby Alpaca with 110 yards/100 grams
o Color: Medium Grey # 401
• Size 10 ¾ (7mm) straight wood needles (preferred) or 10 ¾ - 24”/32” circular needles
• 3 Large Buttons and a large-eye tapestry needle to attach buttons
Gauge:
12 sts to 4” = 3 sts to 1” in mistake-stitch rib on size 10 ¾ needles with Baby Alpaca Grande.
Lightly flatten the gauge swatch with your hand because the nature of the mistake-stitch rib is to undulate.
Approximate Finished Size:
14 ½” wide x 62” long (piece will lengthen a bit with wear). #sizeinclusive
Pattern Size Options:
If you would like to increase the width add in multiples of 4 sts. Adding 4 sts will take one extra hank of yarn and adding 8 sts will take 2 extra hanks of yarn.
If you would like to increase the length just add more inches to the total length. Depending on how much longer the shawl is made, it will take an extra hank or two of yarn.
