I really enjoyed making my One Skein Throw Pillow Envelope Covers. I decided to try the same idea out on some Bernat Baby blanket yarn, but I underestimated how much yarn I would need to do this. So I looked at the piece of material I had just made and after a while, I came up with this. It’s a swatch of crocheted material sew most of the way together, but one side has laces so you can open and close it. I decided to put in the giant pile of receiving and swaddling blankets we had when my son was born that are now just taking up precious drawer space. Now they’ve been upcycled into a decorative pillow and we can always remove them for washing if needed!
