This is a variation on the bukharan kippah. The heavier yarn makes for a warmer covering, nice for winter wear.

This pattern makes a finished item approximately 4” tall and 7.5” in diameter. To make increase the diameter, add increase rounds; to decrease, use fewer increase rounds.

The recommended yarn is Bernat Blanket Yarn. Stripes, variegated, and solid colors will give different effects.

A kippah made with Bernat Blanket Stripes uses about 75 grams or 54 yards.
