Bleeding Heart Lace Socks
Native to the damp forests of the Pacific Northwest, bleeding heart, or dicentra, disappears completely in the fall and reappears in spring. You can enjoy its beauty year round with these lace lacks. Stems of blossoms stretch from the softly scalloped top to the toe. This simple lace is fun to knit, and it alternates with purl stitches for a close fit.
The lace repeats over 16 rounds yet is easy to memorize since it forms a mirror image every 8 rounds. The pattern repeats regularly, so it shows off the beauty of both solid and multi-colored fingering weight yarns.
Pattern includes both written instructions and charts.
