Blend It Like a Boss
You’re a Boss! Strike your power pose.
Flirty and fun triangular shawl worked up with 6 mini-skeins, scrap yarn and/or gradient fingering weight yarn.
Pattern is written with video tutorials. It was tech edited and test knitted.
Perfect project for beginners, but enough going on to keep the interest for advanced knitters. A lazy knit or travel project – one you are very likely to enjoy.
The idea for this shawl began to smolder a long time ago, and then the spark was ignited when I was approached by some amazing yarn shop owners who had an awesome idea for the James River Yarn Crawl 2022. Instead of each shop having special full skeins of yarn to offer to commemorate their event, what if each shop had a mini skein that worked well with the other shop offerings? Yarnies could then work them up into a single project! These shop owners are Yarn Bosses Extraordinaire, and I’m thrilled to be a part of this brilliant plan.
Samples were worked up using 6 – 92 yard/84 m skeins of fingering weight yarn (75% Superwash Merino/25% Nylon) for a total of 550 yards/503 m using a US 6/4.0 mm needle (40”/100 cm cord recommended).
Notions: Total of 5 stitch markers suggested. Two of one kind/color, two of another kind/color and one locking marker or Progress Keeper to help mark your right side.
Gauge: 20 stitches and 40 Rows/4” (10 cm) blocked Garter Stitch
Finished dimensions: Approximately 60” (152 cm) x 26” (66 cm)
Stitches used:
