Squishy texture, easy stitches, and cute little vertical lines make this a project that you will love to make and wear. You can make a tall single cowl or a longer one that can be looped double. Stitch counts are given for both fingering weight and heavy dk/worsted weight yarn. The pattern has been tested and my testers made some beautiful versions. Thank you!

Dimensions before blocking:
Single cowl: 24” (61 cm) circumference. Suggested height is 10.5” (27 cm).
Double cowl: 54” (137 cm) circumference. Suggested height is 5.5” (14 cm).

Grab 2 colours of yarn– fingering or dk/worsted weight and watch them blend! Allow 240 yards (220m) total (approximately half in each colour) for the single loop and 440yds (400m) (approximately half in each colour) for the double loop. You will use a little more of one colour than the other.

You will need circular needles: US 7 (4.5mm) needles (or size to meet gauge) for the worsted version or US 4 (3.5mm) needles (or size to meet gauge) for the fingering weight version. For the double length cowl, you will want your circular needle to be at least 31.5” (80cm).
You will also need a sewing up needle and stitch marker for the beginning of the round.

GAUGE:
DK/Worsted cowl: 15.5 stitches per 4” (10 cm) in pattern (unblocked).
Fingering weight cowl: 18.5 stitches per 4” (10 cm) in pattern (unblocked).
Gauge is not crucial for this project but will affect yarn usage and the finished dimensions of your cowl. You can also customise the stitch count and height of the cowl to suit your preferences.
