The pattern is written for two skeins of yarn which are knitted so that it produces stripes. The half-linen stitch gives texture to the shawl.

Size is as large or small as needed. One skein of Amazing makes a shawlette or a shawl for a child/small person. Two skeins would allow for a larger shawl.

Gauge is dependent on the type of yarn used: Smaller, sock-weight yarns would take a size 3 US Needle. Worsted weight yarns take a 10 1/2 US needle.

Additional items needed would be a crochet hook and/or yarn needle to weave in ends plus a pair of scissors to cut yarn.

The pattern lends itself to experimentation.Try different types of yarns, coordinating/contrasting colorways…pretty much anything you can imagine!
