Blessed Kerchief
The Blessed Kerchief is a single pattern that I designed as a one-skein-wonder for that skein of hand-dyed yarn that is too nice for socks but not enough yardage for much else.
This asymmetrical, lace triangle is knit flat and incorporates knit stitch, purl stitch, knit in front and back of stitch increase, yarn over increase, knit and purl into yarn over below increase, knit two together decrease, and slip slip knit two together decrease. The lace section is both charted and written out.
Yarn requirements are 400yd/366m of fingering weight yarn. Pattern is easily adaptable for more or less yarn. Other supplies needed include stitch markers (optional) and a tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
Gauge is 22 stitches to 4in/10cm in garter stitch on US6/4.0mm needles.
Finished kerchief size after blocking is approximately 52in/132cm long by 20in/51cm deep.
