I have used red heart super saver economy solids in pumpkin orange, periwinkle blue and navy blue. Each color I used 348 yards per color. Hook is 5.5mm can adjust hook size if you want. I crochet tight . Otherwise I made this beginner friendly pattern using felt for decoration and super adhesive fabric glue. Gauge is 12 stitches for 10 rows. Pattern comes with 3 different child beanie sizes . 2t , 3t , and 4t basically size 16 1/2 inch , 17 1/2 in and 18 inch circumference. I hope you like it!
