This pattern uses a combo of stockinette stitch and seed stitch. When combining the two different textured yarns together the seed stitch allows both the yarns to twist together creating two things: the desired look and further insulation from the heat of the coffee cup. Experiment with different yarns, contrasting colors, tone on tone, stripes of furry yarn, etc. I love to make any excuse to slip one of these super soft cozies on my coffee!
