Blissful Spring shrug
This is a downloadable knitting pattern for a short-sleeved shrug and hat to fit 18-inch dolls similar in body size to American Girl Dolls. The body is worked flat with seamless top down construction. The sleeves are placed on holders in order to complete the body. The ruffle around the shrug can be made in a contrasting color and is completed next by picking up and knitting stitches along the fronts, neck and hem and joined to work in the round. After the ruffle is completed, the sleeve stitches are transferred to the needles and additional stitches are picked up from the underarm. The sleeves are knit in the round using either double pointed needles or the magic loop technique on circular needles. The hat is knit from the top down starting with an i-cord and then knitted in the round with a ruffle at the brim.
