Meet Blitzen, a darling reindeer all harnessed up and ready to drive Santa’s sleigh on Christmas Day!

Blitzen can be made in any yarn and hook combination you want. Just be certain that the fabric is firm enough that stuffing does not show through.

My Blitzen is made in Vanna’s Choice Solids using six color:

• Color 1: Taupe (90 yards)
• Color 2: Linen (40 yards)
• Color 3: Charcoal Grey (25 yards)
• Color 4: Beige (25 yards)
• Color 5: Scarlet (10 yards)
• Color 6: Mustard (15 yards)

Blitzen is an Intermediate-to-Challenging-level pattern. Skills you will need include single crochet, increases, decreases, color changes, (cut and tie method), bobbles and some seaming. Included is a photo tutorial on how create child-safe eyes from felt, although plastic safety eyes can be used as well.

The pattern has plenty of progress photos to help you along your way to making an adorable reindeer.
