BLACK LIVES MATTER!

Knit as a shawl or as a scarf, the modern and graphic design is both powerful and subtle. Use chunky yarn for the shawl, or worsted for the scarf. The shawl or scarf is knit on the diagonal (bias), giving it a lovely drape and consistent border on all sides.

The shawl has one “BLM” and measures approximately 18” x 48” (46cm x 122 cm). The shawl takes 4-5 skeins of Bernat Softee Chunky and is knit to a gauge of 9.5 stitches and 19 rows to 4’’/10cm in garter stitch on size US 13 (9mm) needles.

The scarf has a “BLM” on each end and measures approximately 9.5” x 66” ( 24cm x 167cm). The scarf takes three skeins of Plymouth Yarn Encore Worsted and is knit to a gauge of 17.5 stitches and 35 rows to 4”/10cm in garter stitch on size US 8 (5mm) needles.
