Blobfish
This is a great amigurumi pattern featuring the hideously cute Blobfish, an endangered species from Australia and New Zealand. The blobfish lives in water 600-1200m deep and doesn’t have swim bladders, most of its insides are gelatinous and slightly less dense than sea water, letting them float without effort. They eat whatever floats past their face. Scientists believe they are endangered due to ocean floor trawling where they become bycatch. This pattern is a beginner to intermediate pattern with lots of different principles of crochet included. You will make the head and body at once, sculpt in the eye depressions, 2 pectoral fins, 1 tail fin, 1 dorsal fin, the rostrum (nose area), lower jaw and lips. You will only need light and rose/medium pinks to make this creature 3.75mm hook and 6mm safety eyes. Lots of explanatory pictures and tips and tricks inside!
This is a PDF file, not an actual blobfish or a paper pattern.
