I was really inspired by Heather’s note to knit something you love with this block and I love texture! And the smocking stitch creates texture dialed to 11. Smocking looks more complicated than it really is which makes it feel like knitting magic. I hope you enjoy working
this block into your blanket and are inspired to seek out working more smocking into your knitting!

Finished size: 14” x 14” (35.5 x 35.5 cm) after light blocking

Yarn: Ewe Ewe Yarns, Wooly Worsted, 95 yards per 50g skein, 100% merino wool superwash yarn, #4 worsted weight
* Color B - 2 skeins (53 Forest Fern)

Needles: US 8 (5 mm) knitting needles

Supplies: Tapestry needle, locking stitch marker (optional), row counter (optional)

Gauge: 17 sts to 4” (10 cm) in garter stitch worked flat, after blocking.
