This slouchy hat is quick and easy! Knit mostly in stockinette, the decreases in the crown make it stand out. Approximately 60 yds. each of three different colors needed for one hat.

It can be finished with pompoms and tassels but looks great as it is. Choose colors that go well together and are favorites, match your outfit, or are even your school colors! This hat looks best with three colors. The fabric and width of the early stripes make this hat a good canvas for adding your own designs through duplicate stitch or embroidery. Put that school name or your favorite sports team’s name on the school or team colors!

Circumference measured in stockinette stripe is approximately 16 (20, 22) inches. When stretched slightly the ribbed section is approximately the same width.

Note: it is easy to adjust the height of the hat by adjusting the height of the stripes.
