Block Party
not your granny’s square
Bulky knit squares framed by an oversized collar create a bolero that is anything but old-fashioned.
PATCHWORK BOLERO
It’s always fun to do a new take on the traditional granny square. Grannies are usually crocheted, but I chose to knit them using a simple stitch pattern and bulky yarn. Using just two colors restrains the extroverted design; but you can use up your bulky stash and knit it in a more generous palette for the classic granny look.
