This crochet pattern is for a men’s short sleeve top made using the block stitch technique. This is a popular pattern and simple to master as it only mixes together sc, dc and ch stitches (U.S. Terms). I have presented a black and white version with symmetrical stripes of alternating colour. The pattern includes instructions for replicating this design, but hopefully you will want to make your own combinations second time round.

The main body is made sideways, working from shoulder to hem, and is made in one piece. The only sewing needed is to join the shoulders, add the sleeves and finish the hem.

All techniques are explained and stitch counts calculated according to size, with five chest sizes and five lengths.
