Nobody knows flowers like the Dutch so it seemed fitting to call this basket of blooms Bloemen. My Dutch parents shared their love of flowers and nature with me as I grew up. My mother liked to look at them but she was not a gardener, luckily I am and I love my time working in my gardens.

This cowl is perfect for using up leftovers from other projects!

You can easily substitute with any fingering that will give a suitable gauge.

The stitches are simple because they use the mosaic stitch method of colourwork. You will be working with only one colour at a time in each round. Easy peasy even if you are new to this type of knitting. This pattern is written out in full row-by-row and does not use charts.

With special thanks to my fabulous test knitters! You put the fun in my knitting.

96 m/105 yards per 28 gram/1 oz. mini skein.

I found this yarn to be a little thicker than many fingering weights. If you substitute you may wish to go down slightly in needle size to achieve good drape and stitch definition.

3.5 mm/US 4 circular needles 60 cm/24” long.
23 stitch markers, one being a different colour to mark start of rounds.
Tapestry needle.
