Sherlock Holmes would be lost without his blogger, and the blogger would be lost without his warm and cosy hat! Add a touch of Sherlockian seasonal cheer to your winter outfits with this colourful Xmas beanie.

The hat is knitted entirely in the round, starting with a 2x2 rib band and continuing with simple stranded techniques.

Size: One size fits most (head circumference 50-58 cm approx.). 20 cm long from bottom edge to tip of crown. Size can be adjusted widthwise by adding/subtracting multiples of 6 sts.

Materials: 0.5 skein in Navy, 0.5 skein in White, 0.5 skein in Red – any 8-ply wool will do, though I used Debbie Bliss Cashmerino DK; 3.5 mm 40 cm long circular needle; a set of 4 3.5 mm dpns.
