We designed Bloom specifically for baa ram ewe Pip Colourwork, a beautiful British wool from Yorkshire that produces warm and cosy garments and accessories.

Bloom has an easy fit, with a 2x1 rib and just a touch of slouch, (.5 – 1” positive ease in the body, 9.5 inches high excluding pom pom).

The colourwork is a simple two colours per row and is perfect for those just beginning their colourwork journey. A pop of colour and a few stripes finish off the hat to give it a modern feel.

We’ve done our hat with Yorkstone, Rose Window, and Chevin, but there are several wonderful combinations possible with Pip.

Top your hat off with a fun pom pom or wear it without one. Make a big, small, or in between yarn pom pom or use a faux fur or alpaca fur pom pom…make it your own! (Shown here with alpaca fur pom pom.)

You will need:

~ 4 skeins of baa ram ewe Pip Colourwork - 2 main colour, 1 each in contrasting colours
~16” circular or DPNs in sizes US2/2.75mm and US3/3.25mm for rib and body respectively DPNs in size US3/3.25mm for crown
~Stitch marker and tapestry needle
~Optional: Alpaca Fur Pom Pom
