This pattern can be made with any weight yarn & hook.
DIY (do it yourself) yarn amounts for only one square is listed below. This way, you can calculate exactly what you’ll need for your project. If you’d like to work in worsted weight, you’ll need a little more than the amounts below, and you’ll want to use whatever hook is recommended on your yarn label.

The printer friendly version (no photos, but a joining diagram is used) is on pages 11-13.
DK (3 weight) ~ 7.5 inches SQ
4mm Hook
Center: 3 yards (C1)
Petals: 18 yards (C2)
Circle: 17 yards (C3)
Square: 30 yards (C4)
Joining: 10 yards per block (C3)
Border: will vary, but 275 yards was used to border a 5x6 blanket (30 blocks).
