Following this pattern you’ll be able to crochet beautiful lace with motives of blooming flowers and diamond mesh.
I’ve designed and crocheted this model in 1993, reworked in 2023.
30 years ago we were just married and so poor… The only dining table we had was covered with heat stains and ironing burn marks. No money, no instruments and no skills to repair it, so my creation was made to hide that ugliness. I still have this tablecloth so you can see it on images.

On the 1st PDF file you will find a written pattern instruction (with abbreviations), detailed crochet diagram drawing, showing all stitches (1/4 of the lace, type “BLOOM 3x3”) and explaining (with images) of some difficult parts of the work.
Pages 1-13 and 15-20 are ready to print on A4 size of paper.Page 14 (crochet diagram drawing) is ready to print on the paper 841x297 mm (33.1 x 11.7 in).
On the 2nd PDF file is the version of the crochet diagram drawing, splitted into A4 pages with fit marks to join.

AVAILABLE SIZES AND DIMENSIONS:
Full-perimeter lace edging. Complex polygon shape with repeating motives and square center hole (to insert the fabric).
Dimension of the finished lace (design option “BLOOM 3x3”), measured after delicate handwash, blocking and steam ironing:

• exterior width x length - 91.5 x 91.5 cm (36 1/32 x 36 1/32 in);
• interior width x length - 52.5 x 52.5 cm (20 43/64 x 20 43/64 in).
• lace edging width - 19.5 cm (7 11/16 in). Few other design options added with calculated dimension and approximately amount of yarn.

SKILL LEVEL:
Intermediate. You must know 3dc filet crochet technique; basic crochet stitches and some advanced stitches: chain stitch, diamond mesh, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet, double crochet stitches worked together.
For the best quality you need some experience to provide same crochet tension for each stitch. This is important not only for my pattern but for any other too. Also you must have some sewing skills to attach the fabric to the lace (or collaborate with your friend who loves to sew).

MATERIALS:
Yarn - Adriafil Doppio Ritorto 12/3=8, 1 hardcore ball - 700 m/100 g (766 yd/ 3 1/2 oz), 100 % cotton, color shade 11 (cream);
used amount (for the design option “BLOOM 3x3”) - 2 balls.

TOOLS:
Hook 1 mm (US 12); tapestry needle; measuring tape, scissors; blocking board and stainless pins (optionally); steam iron.
