These convertible glittens (glove-mittens, if you will) incorporate a flower embellishment to be used as a button to hold down the finger cover. Deceptively easy, the flower petals are knit in one piece, and the mitten part of the pattern minimally uses mattress stitch and Kitchener stitch. If you’re missing the springtime during the winter, keep your fingers cozy inside these summery glittens!

Required skills are minimal, but they include:

• The basics- knitting and purling,
• casting on and binding off
• Increasing and decreasing (kfb, M1, k2tog, ssk, sk2p)
• Crochet chain stitch (you don’t have to know how to crochet to do this)
• Working in the round on double pointed needles
• Mattress stitch
• Kitchener stitch
• Cable Cast-on

Finished measurements (women’s small): 6.5” hand circumference, 4 ¼” from bottom of palm to top of palm (where the fingers start). There are notes in the pattern on how to make bigger/smaller hand sizes.
