Blooming Bud Sachet
Uses roughly ½ a skein of Lily Sugar’n Cream Ombres & Prints or Solids. My sachet was worked over 4 US7 needles. This yields a hard wearing sack good for soap sacks or for ‘purse protector bags’ for slightly delicate items like cameras and cell phones.
For a finer, more lacy and nicely decorative sachet I’d recommend a DK or light worsted cotton yarn such as Debbie Bliss Cotton DK. Using the same size needles will produce a lighter and more airy fabric with the finer yarn. Feel free to play with yarn weights and needle sizes till you get an effect you like.
This would make a super easy first beaded project.
Added supplies for beaded option:
size 12/13 steel crochet hook. (or small enough to fit nicely through the hole in the bead)
At least 25 beads of a size to go over the yarn. More beads are better then fewer; you may drop a few. (worsted yarns should use a size 5 or 6 bead, DK yarns a size 6 seed bead. HINT!!! Take a piece of your yarn to the bead section and find one that the hole will fit nicely over!)
