Blooming Heart
This charming crochet heart works up quickly and is fun to make. Elegant but simple, the pattern features a small white flower nestled in a lacy red heart and framed by a delicate white border. The variety of stitches keeps things interesting, and you’ll enjoy seeing the heart take shape. The motif requires very little yarn, so it’s a great stash buster. The heart measures about 6” across the widest part by 5” down the middle and just over 5.5” from highest edge to lowest point. It can be used as an applique to decorate other items and projects or made into a hanging decoration or – my favorite - a magnet. Even if Valentine’s Day is around the corner, you’ll have time to make several of these. Crochet a few for yourself and more to give as gifts!
