Just what you’ve always needed, a giant knit rose!

Perfect for an afternoon or weekend project, the rose itself knits up quickly in one piece and utilizes the natural curl of stockinette (finally!) to form bold blooming petals. The green garter stitch base is knit from i-cord to i-cord and two leaves are picked up from the edge. Sew it all together and you have a truly unique and versatile accessory.

I started knitting these as stashbusters and I recommend that if you do that same, use wool or other natural fiber as the petals and leaves may require some shaping during blocking.
