Blossom Bralette
The Blossom Bralette is a sheer lace-up top knit in a single strand of silk mohair. It’s light but luxurious, and perfect for summer.
The pattern comes with instructions on how to embroider roses on, as well as a diagram to show their placement. Additionally, there’s a blank diagram, should you wish to draw your own design. As the top is knit back forth, it’s also the perfect canvas for intarsia.
Difficulty:
★★★☆☆
Sizes:
XS (S) M* (L).
Bust width:
65 (75) 85 (95) cm.
The bust is measured at the widest point of the top, but as the laces in the back are not included in this measurement, the top should have a negative ease of around 20-25 cm. Because of the laces, the size is also very flexible.
Suggested yarn:
25 (25) 50 (50) g Sandnes Tynn Silk Mohair (235m/25g).
Yarn scraps for embroidery.
Gauge:
24 sts x 32 rows in one strand of mohair on 4 mm needles, or whichever needed to optain gauge = 10 x 10 cm.
Suggested needles:
4 mm circular needles (60 or 80 cm), and 4 mm double pointed needles.
Size M has not been tested, but between sizes S and L needing little to no modifications during testing, it has been published in the pattern. Anyone interested in testing the size (or size XL w/bust width 105, which has been drafted) is more than welcome to get in touch.
