BLOSSOM SWEATER

Here in the southern hemisphere, spring is at its peak and what better than a lovingly sweater.

The Blossom Sweater has a top-down construction and does not need a lot of stitch counting and attention making it an ideal project for knitting surrounded by friends and family.

It calls for any Fine weight yarn and 5mm circular needles with a 80-100cms cable. Optinally you may want to use DPN for the collar and the sleeves.

Its VERY customizable and easy to make.

The piece is divided in 6 parts:
Collar: delicate and with a modified rib knit.
Neck Details: slowly differentiating the back from the front using short German rows and forming the base of what will be the raglan. This is the only time where you will actually need to pay attention to the stitches.
Raglan Increases: with increases we will shape our project for any size.
Body: customizable length, ideal if you have extra yarn or if you are looking for a garment somewhat shorter or longer.
Sleeves and Cuffs: knitted straight until de cuffs where we end the piece with a rib stitch.

Some Techniques used are:
Long tail cast on, magic loop to work in rounds, German short rows, placing stitches on the holder (scrap yarn), adding stitches with the back loop technique, picking up stitches and the classic and elastic bind off.

Happy Knitting!
