These socks are perfect for Valentine’s Day or for Springtime, or, just for anyone who loves hearts and flowers just like me :)!

Yardage
You’ll need fingering weight sock yarn in four colors:
MC: 100 g / 420 m (Sample: Lang Yarns Jawoll Superwash 75/25 in 1 White)
CC1: no more than 5 g / 21 m (Sample: Schachenmayr Regia in 2054 Red)
CC2: no more than 5 g / 21 m (Sample: Lang Yarns Jawoll Superwash 75/25 in 0191 Sage)
CC3: no more than 10 g / 42 m (Sample: Stranded Dyeworks BFL Nylon Fingering in
Transcendence)

Sizing & gauge
Different sizes for the socks can be achieved by altering the gauge. The needle size that was used for these socks are 2,25 mm needles for the main part of the sock and 2,5 mm for the colorwork. If you want to get bigger socks, use larger needles (e.g. 2,5 & 2,75 mm). If you want to get smaller socks, use smaller needles (e.g. 2 & 2,25 mm). The pattern includes a chart to figure out gauge and sizes. Gauge always depends on your personal knitting style. That’s why I would always recommend making a gauge swatch and picking your needle size that way.

Sock circumference (unstretched): 21.4 cm / 8.5 inches, 20 cm / 8 inches, 18.8 cm / 7.5 inches, 17.6 cm / 7 inches

Needles
You’ll need two pairs of knitting needles for these socks, the size depends on your gauge. The sample is knitted in 2,25 mm for the main part and 2,5 mm needles for the colorwork part. For magic loop knitting, use two pairs (one in each of your size needles) of knitting needles with a minimum cable length of 80 cm.

Knitting method
This pattern is written for magic loop knitting, which means you’re using one circular needle with a long cable (80 cm or longer). You’ll have half of your stitches on your front needle and half on the back needle. You can use other methods for knitting these socks, adjust the pattern to your own method accordingly.
