Blu the Blueberry Cheesecake Octopus
Blu was inspired by New York style cheesecake. The body of Blu is a blueberry with eight cheesecake-inspired lags attached.
The PDF has 5 pages with 18 full-color photos. Page 5 of the PDF is a printer-friendly version of the pattern. This is a NO-SEW pattern. Everything is attached as you crochet.
Materials:
Worsted weight/ Size 4 yarn
Body Colors- Loops & Threads: Impeccable - Royal (Blue) and Thunder (Gray)
Leg Colors- Loops & Threads: Impeccable - Soft Taupe (Tan) and Aran (Cream)
3.5 mm Crochet Hook
18mm or 15mm Safety Eyes
Poly-fil stuffing
Embroidery Floss - Light Pink and Black
Yarn Needle
Scissors
Stitch Markers (optional)
Terms:
mr - magic ring
slp - slip stitch
ch - chain
st - stitch
rnd - round
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
blo - back loop only
flo - front loop only
inc - increase (2sc in the same stitch)
invdec - invisible decrease
Notes:
Invisible decrease - put hook through the front loops of two single crochet stitches, yarn over and pull up loop (two loops on hook) yarn over and pull through two loops.
The body and stem of this pattern are worked from the top down in a continuous round. Legs are worked bottom up in a continuous round.
Use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of the rounds.
