The dress is made for a newborn girl. It is very pretty and delicate and will make a great addition to your newborn’s wardrobe. It is very suitable as a present for a baby’s shower too. The dress is made top down flat in one piece and later seamed at the back. The yarn suggested is very soft baby yarn which is very kind to the newborn’s sensitive skin.

The size of the dress is for 0-3 months (chest circumference 40cm, length 31 cm) but it can be adjusted to the bigger sizes. Instructions how to make bigger size are provided in the pattern. The pattern itself is very easy to follow and doesn’t require much calculation.

To accomplish this project you will need yarn ( as suggested or any other sport yarn), 2mm needles, tapestry needle to make embroidered flowers, 1 button, stitch markers, scissors.

The pattern is designed for intermediate knitter who is familiar with raglan shaping and basic knitting stitches ( knit, purl, slip, yarn over, right twist, left twist, cast on, bind off). Some embroidery technique is also required for the dress. I used Lazy Daisy stitch to make the flowers.
