Blue Horizon
I love fabric placemats. They are informal enough to use every day and still super stylish for when I have guests. Linen stitch gives the fabric just enough firmness to be perfect for its use and the rustic colours of the yarn add extra charm.
About this pattern
Dimensions: 30cm x 46cm (12in x 18in)
Gauge is not very important.
This pattern is very easily rescaled: simply cast on more or less stitches for a wider or narrower size and bind-off when you reach the right length.
It uses 3 colours in the following amounts:
Colour A (used at the edges): 38g
Colour B: 40g
Colour C (used at the centre): 22g
Which means that one skein of each colour should be more than enough.
The pattern has been tested with Garnstudio DROPS Bomull-Lin. Rowan Pure Linen is suggested as an alternative if you would like to have more colour choices.
