The pattern is based on texture created by Fisherman’s rib stitch when combined with stockinette stitch.

Rib stitch needs to be soft and fluffy.

The Hat for this pattern can be knit in a round (using DPN or circular needles), or flat (using straight needles) and seamed.

Uses about 1/4 of the skein of patterned yarn and about 1/3 of the
solid color yarn stated in this pattern. So you could probably make at
least 3 of these sets from just 2 skeins of yarn.
