Blue Lagoon Mandala Blanket
Make your own magnificent throw!
If you are a fan of impressive designs - this one is for you ;)
Pattern pdf consists of:
- 34 pages of written instructions (US crochet terms);
- picture for each round and harder parts;
- Blanket part includes instructions for mandala, forming of an octagon, small square and half square for smoothing blanket’s edge. As well as instructions for joining and border.
- in addendum you can find the original ending of the Blue Lagoon Mandala & Squared up version of the mandala
Blanket is made from motifs and joined as you go.
I use Alize Bella Batik design Color 4146 for mandala parts and color 3299 for background. As this blanket is made using these joyful colors and cotton yarn it fits summer mood perfectly :slightly_smiling_face:
If after reading and trying out you have any additional questions - contact me and I will try to answer you as soon as possible ;)
I enjoyed making the mandalas and writing up pattern - I hope you will enjoy it too!
P.S. about yarn: I’ve calculated that for throw sized blanket you would need at least 1300g of yarn (as it is variagated yarn and you might want to skip parts of it I would suggest you buy at least 1500g of yarn .. 1000g for mandalas and 500 for background & border)
For baby blanket you would need 900g of yarn .. but I suggest 1200g for the same reasons.. 800g for mandalas and 400g for background ;)
