This shawl pattern was inspired by the beautiful Blue Morpho butterfly. The outer edge has subtle diamond-shaped points and just enough black beads around the border to mimic the Morpho’s dark wing outline. There is a swath of intricate lace that looks like repeating butterflies surrounding a simple pattern of cocoon shapes.

The shawl is triangular, starting at the border and working in toward the center. Instructions for each lace pattern are CHARTS ONLY, accompanied by large photos for reference.There are notes throughout the pattern recommending where to place your stitch markers.
