“Blue Skies” is an asymmetric triangular shawl, featuring a reversible lace pattern of tiny cables.

The shawl starts from the narrow end at one side, and gradually widens on account of increases at the neck side. Stitches are bound off with a crochet hook.
While this is a not-too-complicated project, it nevertheless requires patience and attention to detail. The stitch pattern, which is composed of knit and purl stitches, yarn overs, double yarn overs, as well as crossed stitches, is worked in every row, in right side as well as wrong side rows.

The 17-page pattern contains detailed instructions, ample explanations about the construction, and a step-by step photo tutorial for the special bind-off method used, but the stitch pattern itself is not written out row-by-row.
