"Blue Skies" Scarf
I call this scarf “Blue Skies” because of the gorgeous shades of blue and fan stitches that I like to think of as puffy clouds. :)
This easy-to-crochet scarf pattern is perfect for spring and summer! It can be made using any DK, fingering weight, or even lightweight baby yarn in 3 colors of your choice. I chose lightweight 100% cotton from the Etsy shop CrochetObjet in the colors “Seafoam”, “Turquoise”, and “Bondi”. I used (1) 50-gr, 125-meter ball in each of the 3 colors. If you’d like to use the exact yarn that I did, I have kits for this scarf available here: http://etsy.me/29JYqhP
This yarn comes from far away if you’re in the US so some very comparable alternatives to it (if you prefer not to buy the kit) are: Rico Essentials 100% Cotton (50 gr balls) and Patons-Grace (1.75 oz balls).
This scarf is quick and easy to make, and anyone able to chain, single crochet, triple crochet, and change colors should be able to complete it with no problem!
The finished measurements of this scarf are 42 x 6 1/2 inches. The pattern rows follow the length of the scarf, allowing you to make a traditional scarf OR join it at the end in a loop for an infinity scarf like the one pictured. The beautiful ombre design is easy to achieve and described in detail. Sizing is easily varied by adjusting the base chain, while maintaining the chain multiple provided.
This pattern is written in American English, using standard US crochet terms.

I know what you’re thinking--“Can I make a bunch of these scarves and sell them at a craft fair or online?” You certainly can! (In fact, I would be flattered if you did!) I simply ask that you provide anyone who might be interested in the pattern with the name of my store (NoCoKnitWitDesigns) and utilize your own photos if selling online. Additionally, please do not copy this pattern for redistribution or sale, or display it publicly in any way. I worked really, really hard on it!
