Blue Skies Scarf
Blue Skies pairs a delicate Sky Blue MCN laceweight with a vibrant handpainted rainbow in alternating sections of simple garter stitch, punctuated by eyelet rows.
materials: You’ll use just a 1/2 skein of Shiva Sock in Pot O’ Gold
paired with a 1/2 skein of Avaze Lace, in Sky Blue Sky
Stitch markers - you might want 4
Gauge - I’ve called for a size 4 needle - please use the needle you need to get gauge. This is a very loose gauge, so you might need to go up several sizes. According to the math, my scarf should be only 60” long, but it’s 72” after blocking. I measured it 4 times!
Options! I love this done with a DK Rainbow & Surya DK alpaca as the fuzzy blue. It’s so thick & squishy! I’ve even made a Midnight Blue one for a Night Sky Rainbow & a Peacock colored set, for a completely different look!
