Blue Sky
Pattern One from the 2016 Fiddle Knits Sock Club: Walk This Way
Missing from original (corrected 2/21/16): change to smaller needles for heel flap and foot.
Direction: Top down
Both sizes of these socks begin with the same number of stitches cast on. This is to allow the cable pattern to properly flow out from the ribbing. If you’re knitting the larger size you may consider going up a needle size for the ribbing to create a larger circumference.
Although the ankle has a longer length, “Blue Sky” is not a knee sock. They are meant to be worn slouched down so the top ribbing hits at more mid to lower calf height.
While this pattern as charts, you will need to refer to the written instructions between charted sections. All patterning shown in charts is also fully presented in the written instruction.
I knit socks to fit a US Womens size 7.5 foot (9.25” total foot length) and used 126 grams for the pair. This equals about 343 yards.
