THE BLUE WOODS SHAWL/RUANA
(Wear as a crochet triangle shawl or a belted ruana sweater).
This is a large crochet triangle that can be placed around the neck as a shawl or it is large enough to wear as a ruana sweater. Belt pattern included.
You can make this beautiful XL shawl and belted ruana wrap and belt using this easy to follow pattern.
I have created a detailed pattern with clear directions and photos in a easy to read and understand PDF. It is written in ENGLISH, with tons of added pictures.
One beautiful crochet triangle that you can wear as a crochet triangle shawl or as a belted ruana wrap.
MEASUREMENTS/SIZE:
The dimensions of the finished shawl will measure approximately 88 inches wide at the top, and about 50 inches high from center top to bottom point.
This shawl will fit most people worn as a large wrap shawl.
Worn as a belted ruana it will fit sizes 8-16 easily.
In the pattern I also provide detailed and easy directions on how to make this triangle shawl/ruana smaller and/or larger in order to fit additional sizes. This pattern is written as a “One size fits most”, with added directions to make smaller and larger.
I provide detailed directions in the pattern to make this shawl smaller for a shoulder wrap size of this same shawl too.
The belt measures 86 inches long x 1 inch wide - and I provided detailed directions to make it longer if needed.
REQUIRED YARN:
You can use ANY worsted weight #4 yarn to make this shawl.
I provide detailed information about yarn amounts/yards and a list of many brands and amounts that will work for the pattern, including detailed numbers of yards and skeins required.
3 colors - all yarn details are in the pattern.
YARN AMOUNTS: Worsted #4 weight
830-860 grams of worsted yarn.
1505 - 1535 yards of worsted yarn
1376 -1404 meters of worsted yarn
Color 1: 765-775 yards / 420-430 grams
Color 2: 330-340 yards / 180-190 grams
Color 3: 410-420 yards / 230-240 grams
REQUIRED TOOLS:
A 5mm crochet hook.
A sewing/darning/tapestry needle large enough for the yarn to sew in the ends.
