This great jacket has a hem lower in the back than the front (a handkerchief hemline) and has long sleeves with thumb-holes. It is not just a shorter version of the Coat of Many Colors.

This pattern has “short” tiers due to the scoop hemline so it is a bit more challenging. I have written the instructions with graphics so an intermediate knitter can knit this. Following the “graphics map” makes it clear.
Please read the entire pattern before starting. It will give you an overall vision of the project.

The yarn “Taiyo” is a blend of cotton, silk and wool which is very breathable in transitional weather. It only takes 5 (5, 6) 6, 7, 7 balls and is a 36 (40, 44) 48, 52, 56 inch chest after wet blocking.

Entrelac is easy.
If you want a primer in Entrelac without the straight cast on triangles, consider the ABC Entrelac Primer 1 Scarf.
If you want a Primer for Entrelac with ALL the edge and partial shapes, consider ABC Entrelac Primer 2 Scarf pattern. Making a smaller item first can get you on the fast track to make the larger Jacket with confidence.Any questions are answered by me immediately. All suggestions are considered.
