Bluebell
This delicate top with set in sleeves, has a lace section worked in one piece, which drapes over the hips from under the bust. The bodice area is worked in garter stitch and is shaped over the bust with darts and short row shaping. Directions for the lace are given in written and chart form and are suitable for a relative novice to lace knitting. The body and sleeve lengths are easily adjustable by simply altering the number of the 12 row pattern repeats.
The original yarn has been discontinued, but descriptions of this yarn may be found on Ravelry https://www.ravelry.com/yarns/library/elle-crochet-no-5. It appears to be equivalent to 3ply (UK)/ fingering (US), approximately 30 wraps per inch. A useful site to look for substitutions is www.yarnsub.com. If substituting, be sure to check your tension.
