Inspired by the intense carpets of blue in the woods and swathing the roadsides in Wales during late spring, Bluebells is a shawlette with a border of flower bells.

Worked from the bottom up starting with a textured border, followed with short rows to form the shaping, it would be suitable for the adventurous beginner or the intermediate knitter wanting an easy but interesting knit. It’s a perfect size for between season wear, when a little extra warmth is still needed.

GAUGE: 20 sts / 28 rows = 4” / 10 cm. Measured over stocking st / reversed stocking st on 4.5 mm needles before blocking.

17 sts / 30 rows = 4” / 10 cm. Measured over stocking st / reversed stocking st, using fingering weight on 4.5 mm needles after blocking.
