Blueberry Bear
Meet Blueberry the crochet teddy bear! Made with a fuzzy yarn called Pipsqueak yarn by Bernet, this bear will come out very soft and cuddly.
Feel free to make this bear in any yarn you have on hand.
This is a listing for a PATTERN ONLY. Not a finished item.
What you’ll need:
3.75mm hook
Your choice of hook size will have a dramatic change on the final project’s size and yarn usage.
1 large skein (9.8oz) of Pipsqueak yarn or your preferred yarn. Any yarn can be used in this
pattern. Yarn choice will dramatically effect size of bear.
Small amount of worst weight black yarn to embroider the nose.
Yarn needle
18mm Plastic safety eyes
fiber fill stuffing to stuff bear
Stitch markers ( I used different yarn pieces to make the start of my rows, so I knew where to stop and start.)
Your finished bear will be approximately 12 inches (30cm) sitting and 15.5 inches (39cm) long standing.
Patience, pipsqueak yarn isn’t easy to work with. You will have trouble counting your stitches and your rows.
The best news is, this yarn is also very forgiving of mistakes. When making a stitch, just make sure it attaches to the row before it and you will be ok.
Leave your perfectionist side at the door when you use this yarn! ☺
