There is a story behind the creation of the BlueBerry Waffle Beanie. I designed a hat last September for Lion Brand Yarn and their #HatNotHate hat drive. To show my support again this year, I designed the 2 versions of the BlueBerry Waffle Beanie. Here is what Lion Brand has to say about #HatNotHate:

“With #HatNotHate Lion Brand Yarn hopes to increase awareness on the impact of bullying has on children, teens and adults by rallying together and crafting blue hats to proudly wear throughout the month of October, National Bullying Prevention Month. With your help we hope to create a new “craftivist” movement to send the message that bullying in unacceptable.”

My daughter experienced Bullying and seen some of the harsh side effects Bullying can cause. This is why I feel SO strongly and designed 3 Blue Hats to show my support against this cruel behavior.
