Bluebird
The Bluebird shawl is crocheted with gorgeous hand-dyed Mineville DK merino wool, resulting in a shawl with weight and warmth, yet a delicate feel due to the lacy stitch. The shawl is designed to fit around the neck and hang comfortably over or wrap around the shoulders. Worked with a 5mm hook, this project works up quickly despite its size.
YARN: Mineville DK100% Merino Wool, 7 skeins (200 m/100 g per skein).
HOOK: 5 mm hook (or size required to obtain gauge)
GAUGE: In pattern, 12 rows = approximately 4”, and approximately 2.5 fans = 6”. To work a gauge swatch, ch 42 for your foundation row and work pattern repeat at least twice.
MEASUREMENTS/SIZING: Shawl measures approximately 56” in width, and 40” in length. Centre section for neck is approximately 8” wide.
