Acrylic yarns are recommended for easy care and doesn’t shrink or stretch.

This head cover patterns starts with a leg for the base of the cover. In the picture Caron Simply Soft Prints was used Harlequin variegated yarn. Any color can be used.

After the leg is completed an acrylic yarn of blue yarn is used to develop the neck, and head of the cover. This will be the inner sock of the head cover and will be stuffed with polyester fiber.

Stitches are picked up and the use of 2 sets of size 7 double pointed knitted needles is recommended. The head of the bluebird is knitted, stuffed with buttons for the eyes and a gold beak is knitted and sown on the front of the head.
