I designed this shawl to use as much of a skein of Anzula Cloud as I possibly could. I won the skein while participating in a KAL in Laura Nelkin’s Rav group, Nelkin Designs. Inspired by the subtle color shifts, I wanted to use various stitch patterns that would highlight that quality. The result is a half circle pi shawl with simple lace motifs broken up by sections of stockinette. You can use any yarn that you can get gauge with, of course, but I fell in LOVE with Cloud while I was working with it.

This pattern features basic lace stitches, including k2tog, ssk, and yo. The lace instructions are both charted and written. They are quite simple, so someone new to lace should absolutely give it a try!

Finished Dimensions are roughly 49 inches wide x 23 inches deep. Keep in mind that everyone knits differently. Knitting lace and blocking can enhance the difference in size.

NOTE: When you get to the last section, if you have 30 or less grams left after completing row 132, I recommend switching to needles one size smaller and beginning the bottom edge chart. You won’t notice the difference, and we don’t want you to run out of yarn!!!

A special Thank You to my test knitters, Donna and Kathleen. You guys are AMAZING and insanely helpful!

Happy Knitting!
